Does it mark hair like an elastic?
No, the grip is wide and the scratch-resistant coating does not pull on the fibre. That is one reason we prefer these to thin elastics on coloured hair.
Will it hold very thick hair?
On very full hair it is better to split into two sections and use two clips. A single clip across the whole mass springs open.
